It's certainly not matched expectations considering the stuff I've read so far but 5 does seem a bit low.

I'm pleased Fallout 3 finally got a score it deserves though.

Fuck off Fallout's not as low as a seven!

Mirror's Edge though...

From what I have heard about the shortness of the game the repetitive nature of the gameplay and the rubbish story I'm not surprised they gave Mirrors Edge such a low score. They can be very mean at times.

Mirrors Edge is starting to sound a bit like Assasins Creed ie good idea, but perhaps not implemented as well as it could have been.

Damn shame, maybe the sequel will do it better.

I'd like to see their reasoning for giving Fallout 3 a 7. I love the game but there's enough flaws in there to justify a lower score than the gushing exclusives from "Super ultra OFFICIAL Eggbox" Magazines. At least they weren't in the Oblivion bukkake (gave it an 8 iirc) because to give it a perfect score then this a 7 would be bullshit.

Totally agree with giving Fallout a 7. Its a good game, but its SO fecking soulless. It was a good attempt sure, but its lacking in so so many ways.

Hopefully enough people buy it still so that DiCE get to make a sequel.

Hopefully when it flops they won't ever again rely on one gameplay gimick and horrifically shiny new-gen laminated graphics. Then they might make a longer, well thought out game with a decent storyline.

I think a lot of them are fair actually. It's good to see them not bowing to the hype and giving everything a 9/10 and 10/10 for a change.

Yeah but there's very little consistency between issues. They just do it for dramatic effect.

Is Crysis Warhead honestly worth an 8 when Mirror's Edge gets a 5? Mirror's Edge should at least get two points for originality... which means the rest of the game is worth 3? I mean it's not severely broken or anything. The main criticisms have only really been about story and pacing.
