So showing a game shooting masses of zombies with a gun was considered more preferable to showing a game shooting a mass of cowboys with guns in a saloon?

Did they really just drop the announcement altogether then? That doesn't really make much sense considering the reaction any kind of Red Dead announcement would get.

Adam Boyes has said on Twitter that this is false and the content for the show had been locked for months.

I guess they just thought Days Gone is a really good game.

It did sort of simmer out a little at the end of the Sony show didn't it. I don't doubt that Days Gone will probably be quite good, but the demo they showed was just dull as dishwater.

Unfortunately Days Gone isn’t pulling in much of a crowd to its behind-closed-doors theater. While God of War (4) and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare are continuously outselling on Sony’s PS theater scheduling app, Days Gone is extremely empty in comparison — PlayStation staff will then yell out for anyone to come in just to try and fill up the seats. (It’s actually how I got my spot in 2 seconds)

The physics based horde is one of the only real things that makes it stand out. Other than that, not enough personality on show.

I don't know about you guys but new Zelda failed to impress me also.

Funny how people lapped up the new CoD gameplay demonstration but then instantly turned on it as soon as they realised it was new Call of Duty.

I was pretty surprised at how solid the new CoD looked too. The previous games have felt a bit naff, like a poor Titanfall, with all their gadgets and wall running. This one looks like a far flung enough sci-fi setting that it could actually be quite fun.

It just looked like something that was only recently thrown together and was a game that looked very much out of touch with the technology it was being presented on. Making it an NX exclusive I feel would have done the game wonders.

An interesting article concerning Xbox Play Anywhere...

Gamers have been saying for a while that once Microsoft invokes the ability for gamers to play Xbox games on the PC, that the writing would be on the wall for the Xbox One. Well, during the Microsoft E3 2016 conference, Microsft rolled out a new feature called “Xbox Play Anywhere“. I touched on this newly announced feature and what this means for both Xbox and Windows 10 gaming here, however, I feel that some people are misinterpreting what Microsoft has set out to do with newly found focus. In fact, many games are already calling this the end of the Xbox One, despite the fact that Xbox One S is being released in a few months and the Project Scorpio coming sometime later in 2017. I definitely don’t think this is the end of the Xbox One hardware and while I feel that the Xbox Play Anywhere is a fantastic idea, and I can see what Microsoft is trying to accomplish and where it fits in. However, I wondered why this wasn’t been seen for what is so I wanted to break this down into 3 points and see if I can shed some light on Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere.

I'm not sure 'thrown together' is fair, the world looked like it had had a fair bit of care and attention paid to it.

What do you mean by 'out of touch'?
