It's cool that they have proper NES controllers that you can then use on the Wii U.

Not a official Nintendo product, but it might be worth looking at retroUSB's AVS NES hardware product if anyone is considering a serious NES solution for modern displays.

I dont see the point. If thats what youre playing it on you're not playing on original hardware anyway so just spend £5 on a PiZero and be done with it.

Suppose there's the after support that comes with that AVS product. Eurogamer showed the Japanese Famicom variant of the mini-NES.

Not sure if the demo video is playing off the final product, but if it is then they've kept the slowdown and sprite limit from the original hardware.

There's the overclock option in FCEUX, which makes this little unit seem...bleh.

Wonder if these changes can be applied to that AVS. Anywho it would have been great if Nintendo optimised the games while they were making it.

SNES mini stock will also continue to be shipping into 2018. So up yours scalpers! Maybe. It is Nintendo we're talking about here.

Got mine all hooked up. I've used my own USB and HDMI cables and it just about stretches so that I can play it sitting on my settee.

Forgive me as I haven't really been paying attention, but does it not come with either of those cables Dj?

If so that's a bit of a nuisance tbh

Yeah it does, but they are quite short and when you factor in the short controller cable you can't play it sitting on the settee out the box, unless your settee is really close to your TV.

Ah, that good to know I suppose. Technically just enough to get you going out the box, but not really enough for a normal person.

Pick mine up today. I must say I'm quite excited. :D
