Boy the Xbox dashboard is bad, the PS4 one is no great shakes, but at least it is fairly easy to read.

For the next console cycle it would be nice to see some attention paid to the front ends.

XMB was already pretty much perfect. Clean, fast and lots of room for customisation.

Microsoft just announced their own version of EA Access. For £8 a month you can have access to over 100 Xbox and Xbox 360 games to download and play. If after downloading the game you want to keep the game you can buy it at a reduced price.

It includes third party games as well as Microsoft ones.

Got excited when you said Xbox games. I thought they finally did some kind or Original Xbox emulation/streaming service.

You should be! :x

Haha, but for real. Depending on how this Scorpio thing goes, I could be up for such a service.

Most of the games on it can be had for under a tenner and how many would you really want to play? I'm not convinced it's worth it right now, I'd rather buy. I kind of prefer Sonys way where you can dip in and out of the games without downloading..... if the service was just a touch better.

Well, I'd need to see a full list before going in for sure. Plus I don't trust streaming services for games. Not on my crappy connection.

Yeah even on my super fast connection I still have issues streaming Netflix sometimes so I wouldn't trust a game streaming service. Much prefer the download option.

Seems odd when you think back to the original Xbox One reveal at E3 and how badly they dropped the ball that year. Controlling your TV with Kinect, partnerships with TV channels etc. all long dropped from the agenda. This seems pretty beastly but you've got to imagine it's going to cost close to £500, maybe more with the current hammering Sterling is taking.

Now all they need to do is sort out their first party games and exclusives so that it's actually worth buying the thing.

Had it in my mind I was going to pick this up but there's no exclusives so I'm not sure why I would other than my need to buy new tech :/

I would expect some stuff will be announced at E3. Microsoft first party support has kind of fallen off a cliff.

Game Pass has a launch date, it will be out on June the 1st and everyone will have access to a 14 day free trial. They also released the full list of games available on the service and it's a pretty decent list, stuff like Halo 5 and Sunset Overdrive are on it.
