Anyone actually played that Renegade Ops that was free on plus a few
Months back? I love it! It's the closet thing to Desert Strike you can get on PS3.

Played it on the Xbox and found it got wayyyy too hard too quickly on SP, was a bit of a hoot when played on co-op though.

Yeah it's difficult but you build up XP and ability points every game.

Another pointless week on the PS store. It's really been slim pickings lately.

Been having a look at Playstation All-Smash Battle Bro's, or whatever they called it.
I'm loving all the crazy mash-ups of settings and all the dumb injokes are awesome. It all looks super fun... apart from the bit that is a fighting game. I'm a little gun-shy with this kind of thing after getting so badly burned by Street Fighter x Tekken. It's even less appealing when you consider this is a party bash-em-up and I ain't got no party. :|

It's not quite on the same level as Smash Bros, unfortunately. Partly because Sony just doesn't have enough iconic characters to fill an interesting roster, none of any characters move set is particularly well defined. But mainly down to how they've changed the combat. Not being able to ring out, only being able to score KOs with your super, completely drains the majority of each round of any the tension you'd normally enjoy. Seeing as you can't actively damage each other, combat only serves the purpose of helping to charge your super meter, which'll score you almost a guaranteed kill with. Then it's a simple matter of rinse and repeat until the timer runs out.

I love how the stages are mashed together from various games and how the game generally looks. But it's just too boring to stick with for longer than a couple of rounds. Given the choice between 4 player local Smash Bros or this I think we'd always pick Smash Bros.

Papa Lazarou wrote:Wrong thread methinks? I need to get SC2 too. Table Tennis on SC1 is still the best motion control anything, ever. So I'd like to see if they've been able to translate it to tennis, because all other Move-supported tennis games have been a joke, including Grand Slam Tennis 2, which I had high hopes for considering it had such intelligent MotionPlus control on the Wii.

Quietman wrote:Ah thought it was the PS3 thread, doh!

The tennis is ok, it's not as good as the table tennis but the boxing, skiing and archery are all good. Yet to try the bowling! The poor showing may have been due to me moving about a bit after the calibration so it was slightly off. I'll give it another go tonight. Well worth the £15 though.
IMO :P  :P  :P

Can you get a gun style attachment for the Move? I may pick one up cheap just for the HOTD games if so.

Good deal on sleeping dogs. Fingers crossed for farcry, hitman and lbpk being as good because I just won't play a gta style game, so tired of them.
