I'm still waiting for the big reveal that Sutherland is actually voicing a totally different character and they've got David Hayter in to do Big Boss.

I know it's bad, but I'm totally not interested simply because of this. Kiefer is not Snake.

If they'd got a decent replacement in then I might not care quite so much, but Sutherland has all the charisma of a used tissue and his voice is far too dull.

It would have made sense that they change the voice eventually, he can't sound like Snake forever and I really liked Richard Doyle's voice work at the end of MGS4. But Kiefer Sutherland is just a big US star for the sake of it, and it's naff.

Well, it just sounds like Kiefer Sutherland. He's not even putting on a voice. I just don't get it. How did they think that would be received positively?

Prologue or not, £22 for 2 hours gameplay is a ripoff.

The Xbox One versions runs at a lower resolution than the PS4 version, so fanboys will get smug/butthurt.

Gaming sites all around the web are already descending into violence and bloodshed. It's pure fanboy anarchy. The console war has been won with a single Hiroshima like blow!

(Uncompressed PS4 capture for comparison)

A million PS4 fans explode with joy at the sight. KA-BOOOOM!

Still! Ground Zeroes looks like it might be cool... even if it is really short.

Maybe not a Hiroshima like blow but it's gonna hurt Xbone fans considering a couple of other titles doing similar things.

And considering GZ/PP got a centrepiece slot at E3, erk.

Video comparison:

Looks pretty good on all fronts to me. Now just to await info on what the deal with the sort campaign is.

Edit:
@HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN
Special treatment for the sky is made for PS4 based on atmosphere simulation.

That sounds awesome and makes me sad for the Xbox One version. :(

Video compression is hiding some of the PS4's resolution advantage, but even so, I'd call that a massive difference, as you'd expect between 720 and 1080. There doesn't even need to be any footage - just run any game at these two resolutions on a PC. 1080p has more than twice the visual information as 720p. At 720p, the Xbox One version really doesn't look that much better than the 360/PS3 version. That's fine, because the 360/PS3 version looks great. But it's a little embarrassing too.

Unfortunately for MS, people will incorrectly interpret this as an illustration that the Xbox One isn't really that much more powerful than last-gen, when what we're seeing is another confusing cross-gen game that isn't taking full advantage of either of the new systems.

The Japanese version will get this reversible cover for GZ.
