I'd be more interested if they'd done a better job of upgrading the visuals; Twilight Princess had an eerie charm to it, but it can't escape the fact that it was developed for the Gamecube, and the environment detail reflects that. Wind Waker was supposed to look like a cartoon, and so the simple geometry didn't look out of place for the HD re-release, but this can't get away with it so easily.

I think they have done a good job of making it look better, it was never going to look amazing. I've always liked Twilight Princess and I think it gets unfairly dumped on, but at the same time I don't really have a desire to replay any Zelda games. Despite my love for the series they have always been one and done games for me.

Ok I think that's some pretty quality work on the part of Nintendo and Tantalus.

So they've upped the resolution and redone the textures. Isn't that the bare minimum for an HD remaster? It's much better looking, obviously, but it's entirely down to the image being so much crisper. I don't think they've achieved anything spectacular.

Yeah, it's not much better than you can do in Dolphin.

I wasn't saying it's spectacular, just that considering the work most companies do with their HD remasters this is pretty good. It's does the same thing to the game as the Wind Waker HD remake did and that received a lot of praise. Just because people like this Zelda game less doesn't mean the work done doesn't deserve praise.

Not really a surprise considering not many people have played them.

There's a live Pokemon Direct starting in about 10 minutes: http://www.twitch.tv/nintendouk?utm_con ... ium=social

Edit: ....aaaaand it's over after about 6 minutes. The "trailer" for Sun and Moon was basically a montage of playing old Pokemon games. Nothing new was shown. They're releasing the original Game Boy versions of Red, Blue and Yellow onto the 3DS Virtual Console, and they'll be able to communicate with the Pokemon Bank application, so people can finally move monsters collected in the first games to the most recent.
