Because I never get to start new threads.

Anyone referring to it as a Ryvita will be shot on sight.

[quote] Uncharted: Golden Abyss – The series’ first departure onto a handheld, developed by Bend Studio, the team that brought us Resistance Retribution. Golden Abyss harnesses the main gameplay features and mechanics from the home console version, whilst introducing optional touch and tilt controls.

If they start getting ported to the PS3 I shan't bother. Got enough work with games on there as it is.

Impressive though.

I'm really hoping they announce some PS2 Classics on the store for the Vita. If they do then I'll probably snap one up within the year. If not I'll be quite happy with my 3000 and stack of UMD games for a good while longer yet.

Really liking the look of it in general though. A lot better than the 3DS for sure. It's interesting to see them pushing for more digital distribution though after the PSP Go effectively bombed and nobody cared for it. Maybe a full hardware upgrade will be enough to push people into making the jump.

I'd definitely like one, but I can't see me buying one for a long time, if ever. I just don't play on handhelds ever really. I've had a DS and PSP for years, and never really used either of them extensively. Especially less so now I play games on my iPhone, too.

There has been a bit of confusion over whether we will see the Vita in Europe this year. In an interview Trenton said that the Vita would be available worldwide this financial year and when pressed he said before March 2012.

Also Sony have said that they don't expect to make a profit on the Vita for three years and hope that software sales will cover the shortfall until then.

I have to say that that's a pretty big risk they are taking right there. With the growth of smartphone gaming and the fact that the PSP struggled to shift software I don't know whether taking such a big loss is going to work out for Sony.

It may well be region free though according to other rumours. So it's not all bad news.
