Thankfully the deal was a month long one.

Picked up Dragon's Crown, Daganronpa and Disgaea 4 for the price of a single Atlus game on the PSN. (35 quid)

Now I need a bigger memory card. :(

Specifically, the FTC alleged that SCEA advertised false claims about the Vita's "cross platform gaming" ability, the Vita's "cross-save" feature and the Vita's "remote play" capabilities. As most Vita owners likely know, none of these features lived up to Sony's advertisements. In fact, without CFW, the number of PS3 titles that have been available for remote play is laughable.

According to the FTC's press release from this morning, it appears SCEA and the FTC have reached a settlement agreement. The terms of the settlement agreement are as follows:

SCEA is barred from making similarly misleading advertising claims in the future.
SCEA will provide customers who bought a PS Vita before June 1, 2014 either $25 cash or credit refund, or a $50 merchandise voucher for select video games, and/or services.
Apparently Sony will provide notice via email to the consumers who are eligible for redress once the settlement between SCEA and the FTC is finalized. Upon reading this news I tried to remember when I purchased my Vita I found my Vita receipt and I purchased it in February of 2012.
I went from "how ridiculous" to "I want 50 bucks!"

I guess Europe isn't getting in on this? Ah well.

So, "Black Friday" sale on Vita games. I'm really tempted to get Akiba's Trip because, sod it, I'm already going down that dark path of skeezy niche games from Japan.

Man, a new Phatasy Star game just came out in Japan. Sure, it's based on the Online side of things and there's more than a slight whiff of Monster Hunter about it but, damn it, I want it.
SEGA won't localise shit, though. :(

Was playing some Tearaway last night. You know, once the charm of the aesthetic wears off, it's actually kinda sorta boring? I've just not felt engaged with the game at all. A bit upsetting, to say the least. :?

And, to top it off, while I was playing I found a rather deep scratch on the screen!
I keep the damn thing in a soft case, so it's not like I'm being rough with it. Only thing I can think of is that the awful, scratchy power cable might have rubbed against it at some point.

Ugh. Curse my hubris for not replacing the screen protector.

I tried the demo of Tearaway and it didn't grab me either. It can be as charming as you like, but unless there's a decent game underneath, it's largely for naught.

Here's a secret: I might have swapped out my old Wifi for a 3G one at some point. A cheap 3G version popped up new and boxed with a copy of Killzone: Mercenaries and I went for it.

Not sure what your fascination with the 3G model is, honestly.
Obviously, not having any mobile contracts doesn't help. On top of that I had to root about for an old dead SIM card so the nagging message would go away.

And now it's got a noticeable scratch on the screen. Might have been acceptable if it was a rough and tumble slim model. These originals are luxury items, man, and I've defaced it with my carelessness. For shame.

3G models seem utterly pointless to me.

Oh!
The recent Space Hulk game is coming to the Vita in 2015? Be it the wonky original version or the semi-sequel, Ascension, I'm all about that!

Eh, and it's also coming to PS3 and WiiU *fart noise*

Hmm... nah.

My plan is to wait for the Slim to go into fire sale mode, pick one of those up and just keep it stored away until my junky 3G OLED kicks it.
