Honestly that timing is one of the things that pissed me off most about the burglary; 8 bloody months I've been waiting for the Switch release of Gungeon and I lose the console just a few days before the release.
Maybe worth mentioning here; the police asked me to report the thefts of both the PS4 and the Switch to their respective manufacturers. Despite the police guy saying he'd retrieved stolen PS4s in this way before (Sony track the IP address when the machine tries to access the online service and the police have access to this info), the guy from Sony was absolutely no help whatsoever and basically told me there was nothing I could do. All Nintendo could do was remove access to my account from the console the next time it connects to the Internet, and the guy suggested the police contact Nintendo themselves.
