Got given coffee bags in an advent calendar (mother-in-law makes them for us, they are awesome), was surprised at just how nice the coffee was....

Wrath, it's more like the scene after when he passed the 100 cup mark.... :D

Hey yo, I found those coffee bags for ten cheaper:
https://refreshmentshop.co.uk/Single-Se ... 0-Bulk-Box

They won't ship to me either, tho! wtf :(

Who wants to buy a couple boxes, plus one for themselves as payment to ship to me (so, three boxes total, I'll pay for all three, you keep one)? :D

I don't drink tea of coffee so I manage to avoid the whole thing completely. I might buy the occasional hot chocolate in the winter from Costa, they are the only ones who use full fat milk, but other than that I never go into them.

I like "posh" coffee now and then. Rarely even. Love the smell of coffee but detest the taste by and large aside from those at the like of Starbucks etc when I really feel like one..

Other than that. A tea white one ...and strong is my drink.

Honestly never been into any of these coffee chains. The whole coffee drinking culture is completely alien to me. Like Jez I like the smell of coffee, but drinking the stuff holds absolutely no appeal to me.

Also the prices quoted in this thread for a coffee from these places boggle my mind, people pay that?! Seriously?! Are ye aff yer nut! :)

I hear ya, my friend - I really enjoy grinding and using my pour-over but those bags are nice for taking to work, for example. Not to mention they are ridiculously expensive here in the States. I pm'd you!

When I was living in Arizona with that redheaded doctor, she had a Jura coffee maker that I think I might have loved more than her :P Put in water and beans, and milk/etc in the cylinder, push a button and it would make cappuccino, macchiato, espresso, or regular coffee. That thing was damned expensive as well, and she had two of them . . . Anyway, life goal for me is to own one myself because it was fantastic.
Edit: it was this one, the S9, but hers was all silver: Image

I, err, have one of these:
Image
Bought it in a depression-fueled purchasing spree when I came into some money last year. Kinda regret it, given I already had a bean-to-cup machine (that was a fraction of the cost and didn't do anything with milk) and it was part of my squandering most of said money. I still use it twice a day, and it still makes an excellent cup of coffee (unlike most of the capsule machines of the time which only did espressos or lungos), but I've found myself not using the milk functions very often. I don't like the wasteful nature of the capsule systems either, and we have one of the best coffee bean roasters in the country here in Lancaster, so a machine of this style was an obvious choice, but I could have saved a *lot* of money by buying one without the auto milk functions.
