I can believe it. Went to town earlier and the air was so thick and humid it was like wading through treacle.

Nytol.

'Take one tablet 20 minutes before sleep'.

Fuck that. Take about three, then have a fantastic night of sleep. Just be aware that you probably will wake up in early hours needing a wee, and your coordination will be comparable to that of a heavily inebriated individual.

The wife told me off for it the other night :( I was trying so sincerely to be quiet, yet still managed to crash through safety gates and ricochet from door frame to door frame.

Meh. Still slept well 8)

P.S. You may (or may not...) experience sudden and overwhelming concern that aliens are breaking in to your house. They aren't; go back to sleep.

I think it's a side effect from prolonged and extensive probing. :D

"Local news update . Man seen parading around in his garden and enacting thingy from Metal Gear solid in the rain. Much to the horror of locals. More at 10!"

It's been so muggy round here this last few days. It's been cloudy and rainy, and yet the air isn't fresh. It's like being in a greenhouse.

Bring back winter! :(

Fuck that -_-

But seriously, I don't derive any enjoyment from this scorching heat. Mid-20s is about as high as it can get before I retreat indoors from the sun's pitiless gaze. It's a bastard keeping the kids' room a reasonable temperature at night as well.

How can anybody enjoy this sort of heat? It's beyond me.

I'm 100% a winter person. I love the cold. Frankly anything in positive celsius figures is pushing it.

It's so hot in the office that I had to take a second to consider whether it's currently 2018 or 2019. #-o

I couldn't stand weather like this for long periods of the year, but I do relish the occasional time we do experience it over here. It's an excuse to wear minimal clothing at work, and basically none at all around the flat.

Having said that, I do love nice wintry weather too.

Last year I invested a princely £10 in one of those USB-powered desk fans, as an impulse buy at Robert Dyas. I run it literally almost constantly, I don't think I'd be able to make it through days like this without it.
