The ethics of Kodi

Postby Achtung Englander » Fri Oct 20, 2017 7:49 pm

These last couple of weeks I have been having an internal dialogue as to whether I should get an Amazon Fire TV and install Kodi on it but the ethics of getting it is stopping me. Anyone struggle with this ?

Is your conscience worth £50 a month?

Too much effort, just torrent everything or stream it.

Nope. I don't stream sub stuff myself, but fuck Sky tbh. I use Kodi for obscure tv series and just because its easier to watch my dvds over the air sometimes, cant be arsed to fish them out.

I use the Covenant add-on on Kodi.

The world being what it is, I have no interest in terrestrial TV, watching what is being played at that particular time and being constantly bombarded with adverts - fuck that.

I can watch what I want, when I want on Kodi, and I am not really hurting anyone by doing so.

I use Kodi because I cant justify spending 100+$ a month for a tv service where there is only a select few shows I would want to watch. also don't like the entire movie industry for the most part so any way I can avoid giving them my money is a plus.

I also just keep Kodi on my computer and will connect it to the tv when I want to watch something on the bigger screen.

The add-on i use with Kodi is called Streamhub and its usually keeps pretty up to date.

It was in some search results, don't remember what I typed though cause I saw this in one of em and made a mental note of the name and then continued searching for different forums for a few more days before intentionally looking for this one again.

Was using duck duck go as my search browser, was searching for "video game discussion forum" or something pretty general like that. Ideally I was looking for a lightly moderated mainly video game forum with an off topic section as well.

Cool, cheers, and welcome!

Right, time to petition to Prey that we change the name of the place to 'Video Game Discussion Forum-World' so that we get more search traffic and more new members. The 14 year ego trip is over!
