Paddington creator Michael Bond dies aged 91 :(

The first series of books I can actually remember seeking out myself at our local library as a child and eagerly devouring, one of my formative experiences growing up.

RIP.

Damn. Back when Film(insert date here) was worth watching, I used his opinion as a benchmark for whether many a film was worth the entrance fee. Some of his unfavourable reviews were hilarious.

Anyone of my generation (38) would remember the Pink Windmill, of Rod Hull and Emu fame.

Well, Grotbags is the latest figure from my childhood to pass away:

Shame. He might have made a whole bunch of crap movies but he's still the guy that made Night and it's still an incredible film that I have so much love for.

Maybe he'll rise from the grave?

Anyone of my generation remember Space 1999? Bit camp & corny but typical 70's scifi fun.

He will always be Commander Koenig (I hope I remembered that correctly). My friend had one of the eagles that actually fired missiles, but I had the MIllenium falcon so I won.
