Mainly known for his role as Grouty in Porridge, but more recently in Game of Thrones as Maester Aemon has come to the end of his long stretch.
And now his watch is ended.

I'm utterly ashamed to say I never realised Maester Aemon was Grouty :(

On a better note, Kirk Douglas is 100 years old today! Go Kirky!

John Glenn the astronaut died as well this week. Sounds like he was a badass mofo in life.

Dang. That end of year thing where they list all the famous people who died is going to need to be a mini series.

This is beyond a fucking joke now. The number of talented people taken from us this year.

Well, I wasn't expecting that. Good news is that Carrie Fisher is now stable, thank goodness. RIP George.

A bit in shock to be honest. Listened to his stuff a lot as a kid. 53? Jesus.

Saying heart failure on the news, guessing that it's related to substance abuse, if not this time then by weakening his system from prior usage. Big shame.

RIP Yog.

Not only was he a damn good musician, he was pretty much the coolest gay icon ever. Gets caught cottaging then takes the piss out of the experience by making a video where the toilet turns into a disco, awesome stuff
