It was wholly relevant sir!

To answer your question, there would probably be several I would go with.

My first answer would be a Carlos Ezquerra purely because, well, you know. Specifically from the era when he started drawing Dredd much bigger and bulkier. Around when he and Ennis teamed up.

At a push though I would love to see pieces based on the work of Jock and Henry Flint too. Both powerhouses are drawing Dredd respectively...

Coincidentally Henry Flint was the main artist in those Dredd/Aliens comics I sold you a few years back.

I think what I like to see are people experimenting with the colour palletes too. Like the Black and White Dredd statue I have. The piece is already terrific but the B/W almost Cel Shaded approach really takes it back to those early 2000AD pages.

Thats the real beauty of most Dredd stuff, you almost always guarantee it's been made by someone who has poured there heart and soul into it.

I don't have the space or money for such a thing, but that Karl Urban Dredd figure is pretty freakin' awesome.
Watched the movie again the other day and, oof, it's still a good one.

Loving that.
What material is it made of Tank, metal or some sort of resin/plastic?

It's made from a articial stone called "Polystone". From my experience its a fairly headwearing material that can take a surprising beating physically.

I was roundly gobsmacked when I got it out of the box. I already knew what to expect but I still wasn't ready for it.

So Egon arrived recently. Again, just a staggering piece in terms of quality and attention to detail.

Even better, the face is a lot closer than the Ray one!

Personally I feel Ray is closer but lets be honest they are both incredible.

I would have loved for them to come with alternative heads. Maybe Ray has the gormless/shocked expression face with the cigarette hanging off of his bottom lip, and Egon has that one when he is firing his proton beam and enjoying it a BIT too much ("Woah woah WOAH...Nice shooting Tex!).

I think they're both excellent sculpts, personally. They're fantastic figures.
