I wore my Oculus Rift for a brief spin around Nevada in an attack helicopter (at the end of which I was shot down because my "Designate Target" button had mysteriously unbound itself). Now my Rift's face foam thing is soaked with face sweat and is unpleasant to put on. Damned weather.

I have never been so glad as this week that I chose a car with air-con.
Smugface at seeing the sweating "look at me I've got a convertible" drivers while I'm there with every window up and my teeth chattering.
Shame my house temperature is like the inside of the Chernobyl sarcophagus though.....

Cooking tonight's family meal of gammon, baby potatoes and rice in the kitchen just now was pretty much my idea of hell. If you also happen to wear glasses and sweat a lot you can guess what I went through...

Back to drowning in sweat when sleeping and blasting the fan on full during the day. Prepared this time for getting in them midgy nets to hang all over the windows to keep the fricking bugs out day and night.

Now if only my fridge could produce ice cubes every hour or so would be great.

Had to go into town today for a client meeting. In a wool suit.

I nearly died.
My face is tired.

Why did you have to go in a wool suit?

I am not a fan of summer heat. The problem is that the climate in the UK is terrible for it - it's so humid and sticky. It may be as hot or hotter in other places, but those climates are dry and thus you're not sticky and as sweaty within minutes.

I am extremely grateful for my air-conditioned office. I'm the only one in here too, so I can have it set to the lowest temperature without having to endure any moaning.

However, I eventually have to go home.

Bad, bad times. My house is insufferably warm. I tried playing Fallout 4 last night but the additional heat from my tower ended up being the proverbial feather. No can do.
