Help... melting.

I just checked our thermostat, and it's showing 30.5c... I've literally never seen it go so high. I've opened all the windows in the house and am sitting between two fans and I'm still dying here...
My face is tired.

Oh, it's a hot one. Not the hottest one, but the first real roaster of the year, I'd reckon. :-k
Meant to be thunderstorms in the night and pissing rain all tomorrow, so that'll be fun as well. :D

The dark lord Sauron lent me his one ring, but I took it outside and it melted. :(

Yeah, bit warm here.

Yup, long time since I've seen it hit 30.

Been building sandcastles down Weston-Super-Mare with the grandkids since Sunday, Any fat I have is now crackling.

Was saying 34 degrees earlier in the car here in Oxfordshire. Officially hottest up at Brize Norton at 32 odd degrees.

Although strangely I'm not hating it as much as I used to, even without any kind of A/C or fans.

Been lovely today. Stuck in the office for a bit but spent most of the evening chilling outside with a few beers. If only it would last a few more days.

Huh. Supposedly it was actually that hot?
You can blame the windows 10 weather program for low balling the temperature. I was going around thinking it was barely breaking past the 25 mark. Had a psychosomatic cooling effect, at least. Would have been rolling around on the verge of death had I know the truth.

After a horrible night with heat-induced nightmares*, there's been an almighty thunderstorm over Lancaster and the surrounding areas. Really impressive - lasted over an hour with constant flashes and rumbles. I love a good storm, not seen one like that for years. It's still hot but it's much more bearable than yesterday now.

*One involved me shouting at a spider on a door handle for opening the door, and another (the most middle-class nightmare I've ever experienced) involved me being distraught at the sea shanties being butchered in last night of the proms. Heathens! :x

Well that was a lovely time for a heatwave, just as I went down to spend some time in Cornwall. :) Unfortunately I'm now back in London and it is stupidly humid. I don't mind if it is sunny, but when it is just overcast and humid it's a bit naff.

Wish I was back here.
