yeah like the Dragons - I'm out! the bad luck when not even battling hordes of shit is irritating me

I will continue in the Talisman thing. But cheers Doug - was an experience!

You're welcome. I'm sorry it became irritating. It is a very random experience and it's not everyone's cup of tea.

My thoughts right now are that we should end the game here, unsticky the thread with a view to starting up a new one some time, but keeping only to the board game and forgetting about the roleplaying rules.

Disappointed players are welcome to sign up to Talisman game, which I think I'm going to concentrate all my efforts on now.

Everyone's still floundering about a bit in that game so you will not really be "behind" if you join now.

Damnit, I'm enjoying this far more than Talisman. :(

The difficulty is what is making it entertaining.

Dropping the RP stuff would be a mistake imo.

Really interested to do this but if there ain't 4 (and Stormy) up for it then I'd best get the Silver Tower models painted and get my mates together :)

It's made for great reading though lads, and glad I got in on it at the end.

Okay, if you want to keep playing this I'm fine with it.

Can I suggest we start over though -- fresh quest, chance for disenchanted players to quit and fresh ones to join, chance to swap characters if current ones unsatisfactory?

I'm okay for starting over.

I'm not okay with whether I want to switch characters or not. :-k

A fresh character in Talisman would be doing better than some players.

Okay. We shall begin a new Quest.

Sign up here, players.

Already on the roster we have Zazog the Ogre, played by Mantis.

Gibby wants to play as a Halfling Thief, I believe.

Snowy, do you want to continue?

How about Vykromod?

Tichinde, I assume you want to play? We'll have you as an official character this time. I'm happy for you to be a Knight, but you'll have to be a Bretonnian Knight -- no more unofficial home-brew characters from third-party weirdos on the internet. Or you can choose another official character.

Every time I grumble about randomness hurting, it's with a smile. I'm in.

Just not quite clear on whether to keep Hippy McCrapherbs or not.

Actually I think I might swap characters, in the interest of not making the game ludicrously difficult!

I'll be a wizard instead.

Also, start a new thread for this please.

Could you unsticky this one then, Mantis?

The sheer titanic effort you're going to running this and Talisman is incredible, Doug, and I hope everyone's as grateful as I am! Not only has your return prompted more life into the forum but you've also got us playing something together, albeit a forum-based board game.

Definitely in as Halfling Thief!

Yeah I was talking to Prey about this the other day. It's great to have you back and breathing so much life into the place. Thanks for going to all this effort.

I'd run something similar but the only board game I currently own is Pandemic and I don't think that'd translate well to the forum!
