Are you sure it was me that sold you that? I don't remember seeing that before.

It might have been I, but as you know I'm having trouble with my memories from that era.

Can't complain :) Been broke as hell for a while, but now starting to get paid somewhat more proportionally to the amount of work I'm actually doing so I'm saving up for getting my first new gaming PC in 10 years - pretty excited about that. It'll probably be around the end of August. Maybe even VR if I'm feeling particularly flush - want to see what the hype's all about!

Hey Doug, nice to see you around again. I was really made up for you when Dave revealed that you'd met someone and started a new life. To hear that you also have children is a lovely thing... they really change you, hey?

Stormbringer wrote:This is the Paul who lived in Wigan and got heavily into New Age stuff at one stage? He was baptised in the Church of England as a child, but was desperate to become "un-baptised", I seem to recall.

Alas, yes. That was a rather silly time in my life

Stormbringer wrote:So he married and moved to Spain? If it's the same Paul I think you're talking about, he was always complaining about how much he hated the UK. Every time he did that I told him he should leave!

Married; two kids. Both girls. One is two years old, the other is eight weeks old. My wife is indeed Spanish, but we continue to live here in the UK... which I'm absolutely fine with these days. We regularly visit Spain to spend time with her family. They live in a very old and traditional town up in the mountains. It's really very pretty, and incredibly peaceful.

I've been sat here laughing at a couple of things, but most notably how highly strung I was when younger. My word I was insufferable

Anyway, hi everyone. I seldom browse any forums these days - I came here to lurk for the first time since I last posted. It was lovely to see some old names about the place.

I hope everyone is well :)

Dave: I did attempt to contact you on FB a while back. I bet my messages went into your 'other' folder.

Hey Paul! Great to see you again, man.

Congratulations on your second baby! Yes, children are great. Tiring, stressful and all that, but they definitely make you a better person and you'd never want to be without them.

Silly, highly strung and insufferable. Yep, that sounds just like myself from the before-times! :D

It's almost like we were developing as individuals, finding our feet in life. Terribly inconsiderate of us :)

Yes, children are indeed tiring and stressful. Our eldest is usually up at 5:30am and doesn't stop until about 10:30pm, at which point she crawls into her bed, says "Night night!" and passes out

She's an absolute live-wire. Full of energy (and mischief!)

Paul! Hey man, good to see you and hear life is great. That old Spanish town sounds like heaven!

I think we were all highly strung idiots back then. I cringe at some of the stuff I used to batter on about and got into. Not worth worrying; it's what made us who we are!

Gibby! Good to (e)see you.

As it happens, I actually recall you being both mellow and a voice of reason.

I see that you are also married now. Congrats on that :)

[EDIT] I just noticed that we both signed up for this forum mere minutes apart. Blimey. Thirteen years.
