This is so stupid.
I have refused to install any games since upgrading to Windows 10 as I want the first one to be "special". Didn't want it to be some dumb old thing I picked up in CEX or from GOG. #-o

Upgraded today. It has buggered about with my brightness settings for some reason and changing the colour of the title bars is stupid: http://www.howtogeek.com/222831/how-to- ... -of-white/

Wish I hadn't upgraded.

Anyone noticed an issue with Windows 10 detecting different sound outputs? If I plug my headset in it doesn't always automatically detect it and when it does any programs that I already have open continue to play the sound through the speakers. I have to close them down and re-launch them to get the sound to play through the headset. The same happens when I switch to the TV.

Yeah it is, but the same happens over HDMI to the TV so it's nothing to do with the headset.

Weirdly, I had a similar problem with 7 but it seems to have stopped with 10. What has changed is 10 has installed Realtek HD Audio Manager, which runs on launch, I'm fairly sure I didn't have it before or at least didn't leave it running.

Yeah, uninstall that straight away and block it. Messed up with a lot of my games and inputs.

Tried upgrading to this yesterday using the winows update tool. Failed twice to do so. Once giving a blue screen saying that something went wrong and it would restart...it didn't and I had to hard reboot. Came back up with old Win7 though. Tried again and it stalled at about 25% copying files after download. Came back up after yet another hard reboot to good old Win7.

Not sure I can be bothered with it now. Apparently this works better if you make an installation media disk.

Meh. M$
