So much for that fire sale PS3 ¬_¬

Huzzah! I can now claim my £7 of goods!

Only against pre-owned for now, and no website back yet, but things seem to be moving in the right direction and HMV did so well that they're keeping games definitely online for now and are reviewing the percentage of games in remaining stores. Whether the games director gets his job back is another story. Good news though shame the surviving staff are still taking crap from those that missed the three weeks of warnings to spend points or who chose to keep saving no matter what.

I have to get on the bus/train to either Enfield, where the Gamestation went and so CEX have all that walk-in trade, but the Game where an old mate was manager, is still there in the precinct. Same for Wood Green, that shopping centre's been there for donkeys and it must have been busy enough to live.

Sites are back up again but the Facebook page T and Cs are still in force online, Reward and Elite cards are still only in the shops for the moment and I assume still pre-owned redemption only. So they will be back in some shape or form for Easter.

I agree. Most of the new games i have bought have been through asda. For pre-orders they are rubbish mind you

Yeah, I wouldn't pre-order or owt like that. But whenever I've really needed to get a game, like, RIGHT NOW (that happens a lot), I'll go there and I'll aways be surprised by how cheap it is.

Comet's owners take the remaining stores after all. Typical really, they probably would have made a lot of the same cuts but at a slower pace and without the chainsaw that the administrators used and probably without zeroing Gift cards and vouchers and killing the goodwill for the group. All routes lead to Easter though, it depends what kind of sales happen among customers not going away for the weekend.

Just down to the overseas stores to take care of themselves.

Tesco? Depends what happens to their prices from midnight when they have to add VAT to their Jersey online shop along with everyone else.

Is that Gamestation list at the bottom stores which are staying open? If so, both the Game AND Gamestation stores in Redditch are staying.

OpCapita buys business - it could be the shops that stayed open remain open and those that closed remain closed - we shall see

First job of OpCapita before re-inventing GAME - sack the Board of Directors

Been confirmed that there will be no more store closures or redundancies. They will also try to hire back a few people who lost their jobs at head office.

Reward Cards and Gift Cards return at both chains!

On time for Easter, so at least people with kids saving for handhelds and other stockpiled resources are now worth something again.

Traded in 47 old and worthless games today. Got £540 credit. Some of the trade prices were crazy misguided.

A PS Vita and various bits for it. Got £204 left now. I'm thinking of going back tomorrow to pick up a load of PSN and Microsoft credit to sell on ebay.

As an example of trade price madness I got £15 for Mass Effect 1 and £18 for Mass Effect 2 for the 360. They're listed on the website for £10 and £6 preowned, respectively.
Listen to me. Traitor.
