Upgrade website?

Postby Solitaire » Tue Apr 18, 2017 7:23 pm

So I got this five year old Sager gaming laptop. Anyone have any tips on how to scan this thing so I can plop all the info in here and get upgrade suggestions? Back in the day I knew of a website that would scan stats off a PC (RAM, CPU, graphics, etc) so I could comparison shop.

cpu-z (free prog) would give you most of that info I think mate http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Although you are quite limited with upgrade options for a laptop but we shall try :)

The most you'll probably be able to do is RAM and HDD, neither of which will give you much extra life :(
IMO :P  :P  :P

Ah, really? I thought it was an option to trade out GPU's? But I've never even thought of it before. Hmm. Well, I suppose I should start looking at a new PC, after all . . .

It's possible on some laptops, but not all and not always worth the hassle even if you can.
