New Graphics card/PSU combo. Sweet spot on a budget?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Next step down is the gtx 1050 ti at around £140 which is a pretty big step down. Because of the low value of the pound the sweet spot for GPU to price has crept up to over £200 rather than the £150 it used to be.

EDIT: You could go for the 4gb version of the RX 580 for £200.

My 980 Ti was pretty eye watering when I bought it. The price of the new 1080 Ti pushing £600+ is just crazy. Cheers for that one too Brexit.

Aye, it's certainly opening my eyes to how costly a lot of stuff is today to what it would have been a year or so ago. Very much regretting not doing it sooner now if anything.

Also no way I'm ever going back to AMD after owning this GTX 960 now as while it certainly hasn't been plain sailing with it I've grown very much attached to Nvidia specific based features and even the not so widely loved Geforce Experience app for everything it actually does quite well. My question now is would a 4GB GTX 1050 ti be a step up if any over my current GPU enough to warrant that £140 price tag? 6GB and 8GB cards are so far out of my budget I literally envy any of you who even owns one!

No, it's worse. 5,821 compared to 5,770 on Passmark.

Yeah, it's a bit "I have a £500 budget"

"Here's a great card for £250."

"Fuck that!"
