Watercooling

Postby Quietman » Tue Jun 23, 2015 9:24 am

So Overclockers have the Corsair H80i GT cooler on their sale this week - Very tempted at £70... though the H100i GTX is only £100 and has a 240mm radiator instead..

Anyone used either?
IMO :P  :P  :P

Have the older H80 (not the i).
Never had any problems with it, just remember to take the fans off every 6 months to clean the dust out of it.

Do you think it's worth going for the 240mm H100i or will the 120mm H80i do?

What are you cooling and is it overclocked?

Edit, that being asked, my H80 has cared for my I5-2500K at 4.4Ghz on an enforced fan controller lowest fan setting so probably not

i5-3570K OC'd to around 4.4Ghz. The air cooler is keeping temps reasonable as it is but it's so HUGE I'm losing RAM slots :P

Though with all this dithering it's now sold out... but the H80i GT is only £80 so job done :D

Should be a good purchase for you.

Just prepare yourself to take the motherboard out to fit the mounting kit :)

The HAF 932 has a "CPU mount cut-out" (or words to that effect), it was too small for me to see the area required :)

Just saying....

I think I should be ok, but cheers for the heads up anyway! I'll have the toolkit ready and table clear just in case ^_^

To save you asking later (everyone does), ignore the manual, fans blow out of the case.
Also, pipes at the bottom.
