New AMD/Nvidia Cards

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Interesting times...

So it looks like it's going to come down to what overclocks you can get out of the watercooling - The review states that even under load it sits happily under 50 degrees! At the moment though it's very close between the 980 Ti and Fury X in terms of my next purchase, though the pre-orders for the Fury X are about £150 cheaper than the strix model of Ti I want, the Ti will give even greater performance (for now...) and I'm not planning on gaming at 4k any time soon...

Tricky.

Anyone not wanting to go for super high resolutions would probably still be better off getting a 290x it seems.

Well there is that, though it's hard to get hold of the cards it seems, or at least there isn't much choice.

Prices are comparable though.

I'll be upgrading my current machine in the next few months for VR reasons so both sets of cards will be cheaper for me :)

I'm not thinking of upgrading until the whole VR thing is well released myself. VR is vaguely attracting me as it is but I'll wait until the latter end of next year I think.
