You need 64-bit OS to use all your RAM. You best get re-installing windows again ¬_¬

Oops.

Pain in the arse no doubt but well worth spending the time with a new install for El.

Well, after looking at how the HDD was impacting on the overall system I've decided to up to an SSD.

Should arrive today, so will reinstall windows once that comes through!

Then I'm scouting for games I couldn't benefit from to the level I would have liked before the upgrade - considering being tempted by Tribes.

Its free and not hard on systems at all.

The SSD should make a nice difference overall.

256Gb is sort of the limit for reasonable prices:

You'd be getting into Tribes at exactly the right time given the big new patch today, but can't remember the total size of it now the new update adds around 500Mb - check that for your SSD.

Blimey - this thing runs a bit better than a SATA doesn't it?

Overall Windows index is now 7.5 - the lowest score being the processor!
