Password protecting folders in Win 7

Postby deetz » Sat Oct 22, 2011 8:27 pm

I have a load of porn, insurance documents, bank stuff, work stuff that I want to password protect. Doesn't look like Windows 7 has its own built in way of doing it so is there a decent, easy to use and free 3rd party way of locking a folder?

Take the HDD out and keep it planked under the mattress failing that could try any of the free software or trials of them to get a gander at what you like for instance http://www.safehousesoftware.com/

You can use Truecrypt to create encrypted volumes on your hard drive as well.

Truecrypt is the best option.
