Yeah, Vodafone called me up yesterday and said I was due an upgrade. I told them I wanted iPhone 4. They said £40 for the 16GB or £130 for the 32GB. It does make me angry that there can possibly be such a price jump, but I went for the 16GB anyway. It's came today, and I've put the mini-sim in, but I don't seem to have any service yet. Will it come on later or do you think I need to call Vodafone?

Yeah done that. Just spoke to customer services, they've activated the sim, hopefully it'll start working soon. They said anything between 10 minutes and 24 hours.

When I first activated my iPhone I think it took about 2 hours with O2.

Does anyone know if it's possible, and if so how you import your own eBooks in to Apples iBooks app? Ta.

You should just be able to add them to your iTunes library, and then tell the iPhone to sync them.

If not, get the Kindle App, with which you can browse for pdfs and eBooks to be synced.

Yeah that worked fine Adam, thanks. One more question - I promise. I typed it out already, so I'll just quote it. Really hoping someone knows the answer, because it's REALLY annoying...

Wizard Of Odd wrote:I store my Apps and Podcasts on my laptop. I store all my music on my main desktop computer.

I do this because :

1. I rarely turn on my desktop machine and it has more storage, and I don't change the music on my iPod Touch very often.
2. I update Apps and Podcasts regularly, so it makes sense to keep them on my laptop which I use every day.

I have the latest iTunes installed on both computers. Previously, it has been fine to use my laptop for apps and podcasts and load music on my iPod from my desktop machine. It worked absolutely fine.

Now I have an iPhone. It doesn't work. I sync'd my iPhone with my laptop to load the apps and podcasts on it, but when I tried to load music on it from my desktop computer it just doesn't work. I get the 'NO FUCKING CHANCE' logo when I try to drag it from iTunes to the iPhone. You know, the circle with a line through it. I've tried re-authorising the computer but no joy.

Any ideas? This is pissing me off. Incidentally, on experimenting, the laptop loaded music on to my iPhone fine.

And it's still pretty snappy?

Just about to start a music consolidation project at home and reckon we have something in the region of 170GB.

Don't use iTunes for movies or TV shows, but they're approaching 500GB now. Music is around 150GB, including podcasts.
