Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Just treated myself to an early Christmas present:

https://www.quietpc.com/pal-ne51060s15j9-1060j

Over the past few years have gradually gone from a 'hey, high settings, bitch' guy, to a 'medium settings, this isn't so bad' to a 'low settings, but at least I can still play it' guy... the old 760 just isn't cutting it any more sadly.
My face is tired.

Fans only spin when they 50. Sure any game of a decent graphical standard will push that above 50? Though I suppose if your only on word writing books and stuff it'll be quiet as a mouse.

I think you're underselling the tour-de-force of graphical brilliance that is undertale. Even quad titans would wail at the prospect.

I have the 1070 gamerock palit which appears to have the same cooler, fuckers are very quiet on a 1070 and 1080 so I imagine it will barely move on a 1060. Don't need much cooling with a 2 and a half slot chunk of metal is taking the heat away.

Because I clearly hadn't spent enough on my flight sim setup in the last twelve months, I have bought a set of MFG Crosswind Rudder Pedals.

MFG Crosswinds (bottom), Thrustmaster TFRP Pedals (middle) and Sansa (top)

Up until the launch of the Thrustmaster set in around May of last year, it was just about impossible to get flight sim rudder pedals in the UK as they're such a niche product that no shops seem to stock them with any regularity. When they were released I snapped up a set, and while initial impressions were good, they very quick started to stick due to the rail sliding mechanism getting gunked up with the detritus that lives beneath my desk. I can maybe move them a minimum of 10% of their full range in either direction at a time, which is useless for fine control.

So naturally the best thing to do was spend four times as much money on a made-to-order set from a one-man company in Croatia. There's no cheap, flimsy plastic in these things; it's all CNC-cut composites and steel bearings and hall-effect sensors. They're so smooth that they produce no sound whatsoever when I'm moving them, unlike the TM set which rattled and scraped. They're ultra-customisable, from pedal return spring strength to angle of the toe brakes to the length of the wall spacers at the back. It's like going from an Atari joystick to my Thrustmaster Warthog.

I do like to spend money on quality tech stuff when it's worth having, and I suspect these are well-enough built that they'll never need replacing.

No, the cat needs to be bought separately. The guy did initially ship the pedals with a cat, but they tended to get held up at customs.

Are we including shipping too? I'd say around £500!

I think they were £350 (including shipping and an extension for my Warthog joystick) when I paid the invoice which was in Euros.
