Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Well, I've got a 780ti, and that's 300 less than 1080 so I think I can justify it.

First proper benchmarks are out. Anadtech has the 1080 32% better than the 980ti and 70% better than the 980. Big jumps.

That is a very impressive bit of kit. One of those will be in my new build later this year.

Early potentially fake 1070 benchmark puts it a couple percent faster than a 980ti, depending on how close it gets to the 970 price that will be a killer card.

The benchmarks for the 1070 have been out a few days, only the 1080 is faster than it. The 1070 is very slighty faster than the Titan-X, thats a £800+ card, the 1070 is hopefully going to be below the £300 mark. That means this years mid range gaming 970 replacement is faster than everything from last year.

On the AMD front the the RX480 is priced at $200 which is potentially around a 390/970 performance level which is a nice price cut there at that power point. Things are a changing this year.

Yeah it's all getting very interesting. Faster and cheaper for the win!

Now we just need CPUs to follow suit.

As Fast Sync was recently given support on older cards I have been using it on my GTX 960 for the last week or two and my word what a difference it makes when you've been limited to either vsync or no vsync for years on end. Setting the render ahead setting to 3 in the control panel also has helped matters and now all my games play with no tearing whatsoever and hit well above the 60fps ceiling I was so used to without any kind of overheating or issue.

Tis wonderful I tell you, wonderful I say.

These are said to resolve some of the high latency issues some have been experiencing in previous sets.
