Thanks very much for all the help fellas, my system is now up and running and very sexual.

Just one minor thingy, I don't normally put much stock in to benchmarks and stuff like that, but the RAM seems to be letting the rest of the system down. It's decent RAM and in the correct two slots for Dual Channel A, anyway take a look:

Anyone have any ideas? :)

EDIT: This could just be the amount of RAM couldn't it? Say if I got another 2gb that might mean it's higher. I was planning on getting 4gb in the first place anyway, think I might order some soon.

You aren't really going to buy 2GB of RAM for the purpose of moving a vista benchmark up by 0.6 are you? -_-

Haha, nah, like I said I was planning on getting 4gb anyway, was just wondering if maybe there was something wrong with the RAM incase buying more of that kind wouldn't help. :P

That ram came out really well in the latest Custom PC test of ram. Second only to Crucial Ballistax. So it is not rubbish. It will probably be the stuff I get for my upgrade.

Ahh fair enough, guess it will go up when I get my next 2gb then. My PC is one graphics card away from being ready for Crysis :D

Hmm. I got 5.8 with 2GB of RAM, and it wasn't particularily expensive stuff - OCZ PC-6400, or something like that.

Watch the memory check during POST. There's a fair chance it's underclocked and running at 667Mhz or something. Some motherboards just set it there by default and you have to manually set it higher in the BIOS.
