Have you tried turning it off and on again?

So, I noticed that the new system was being pretty unstable. Lots of glitches and program crashes. Not to mention the odd BSOD here and there. Figured it was a problem with the memory, but wasn't sure exactly what. After a whole lot of troubleshooting, I noticed ASUS updated their memory guide for this particular motherboard a couple of days back.

Turns out that you can't run memory at full speed with this board with Ryzen 2000 series? Have to clock them down by at least 200Mhz to make them stable. So, running it with the suggested XMP profile of 3200 was the problem, and knocking it down to just under 3000 has ironed everything out. Fingers crossed for a BIOS update down the road, then.

My fault for assuming it'd work out of the box. Oh well!
Just mentioning it in the off chance anyone else goes off half-cocked like I did.

Well bought two new SSD's. Since my last one died after that windows update. The prices certainly have came down from 6 years ago
