Not read the article, but I was only thinking about that the other week. I came to the conclusion that I personally, wasn't interested in it anymore. HL2 left me with mixed emotions, which time hasn't changed.

I never played HL1 and I barely played HL2 so I'm indifferent honestly. I have been meaning to play HL2 forever but I never get around to it.

HL2 was very much my teen generation and I couldn't give a toss about the series either.

I'm 31, I wish I could blame it on being young and dumb but I can't. To be fair I'm really not into films at all, and I spent my entire youth playing Counter Strike 1.0 - 1.6 so I barely had time for other games. I do plan on watching Aliens after I finish Isolation, though. I would be done with it but I've been sporting a terrible migraine for the last few days so I haven't been in the mood to do much of anything.

Sorry to resurrect this but I've been playing Homefront 2 again recently and still think it is as close as we are going to get to an up to date Half-Life-esque outing. While it can't match Valve's storytelling prowess or characters the actual gameplay, settings and atmosphere are all how I envisioned a final outing would have been and the more I play the more I'm no longer left pining for a new Half-Life game just to complete an unfinished and frankly abandoned series. The way I find myself playing through Homefront is almost exactly how I would be playing a new Half-Life game, period.

I know Subway will possibly disagree as he struggled to complete the game (something I myself have yet to do) when all was said and done but as you can now buy it for just £5 already I think it more than deserves a look in if you can't find anything else.

Oddly enough mate I've seen the rock-bottom price for that a few times now and wondered whether to pick it up. Have the bugs been fixed? It looked a bit of a mess on release from what I saw.

I had a singular session just the other day man and I was genuinely SHOCKED at just how much they had improved it since I last played. The first thing I did was grab myself a bike and race across the city and to my astonishment there wasn't a single bit of hitching or level loading and I knew right then I was going to now commit more time to it once more. If you wish I will record some gameplay from the session I have planned for this evening as I seem to have lost my saves and so had to start a fresh not that I'm complaining because the game is about as fixed as I'd ever hoped it would be and as such it's like playing through again with a fresh pair of eyes.

Last time I played what with its low sales and not being received that well I assumed they would ditch it and not do anything else but that doesn't seem to be the case at all - in fact it seems to be completely the opposite.

Yeah, go on then :)

Tbh I'm in a place right now where I'm bored shitless with all the games in my collection and looking for something new, so this could be right up my alley!

Sod it - bought!

£6 is nothing, really.

I don't want to sound overly dramatic. But, Prey, your entire reputation is resting on this ;)
