Kind of with Snowy. It's not that I don't have slightly obsessive tendencies if left unchecked (for all the debate over 'videogames aren't addictive', I think there have been times in my life where I've basically been at that point), but collecting has never really been my thing. I collected stamps for a while when I was 8-11, that kind of age, built up quite a nice little haul actually that lives in a box under the stairs with vague plans of one day have it properly valued, but that's it.
Just don't do the collectible things at all. Each Christmas and birthday my dad buys things 'to display', like an X-Wing or a limited edition Lego Liverpool 2005 CL winners open-top bus, but I just don't really know what to do with them, so they sit on a high shelf collecting dust.
I will, however, to the chagrin of my wife, almost never willingly part with something I have spent money on... books, DVDs, CDs, games, whatever. It's only been a few years since I grudgingly parted with my VHS tapes.
My face is tired.
