I played the demo level for about five hours, I'm still tempter to wait until it is in a sale because I'm cheap. The AI is excellent.

Really hope Rainworld is good, backed it ages ago and the updates keep making it look better :)

Shock, horror. I'm putting in a good word for a pixel art game?

Read Only Memories

An adventure game in the vein of Snatcher, but leaning more on the fun, poppier side of 80s anime cyberpunk.
Not very far into it at all, but the look and "vibe" alone is enough to make it worthwhile for me to check out.

More details, demo and whatnot over here: http://readonlymemori.es/

In the run up to Game of the Year season, I had the horrible realisation that most of the big budget games I've played this year just didn't "rate". Admittedly there's a few I've yet to start on, like Bloodborne, Fallout 4 and maybe Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Just Cause 3, but I doubt those two will leave much of an impression.

As it stands, all but one of the games in my current "Top Five" is pixel art. What?! Such a turn of events!

I've also got to weigh up if the semi-ironic thrill I got from Hatred is enough to put it on any lists. ¬_¬

Indies are being creative and fun but they they are also a different animal to a AAA. Would a 40+ hour indie game actually be fun ?. Are they not better as bite size entertainment
