Renowned Explorers only £3.75. Fun little game, well worth a look.

2K sale this weekend.

Some good deals in there, Mafia 3 for £11.50 is pretty reasonable if anyone's been holding off for a price drop.

First time i saw Headlander on sale was this week, so picked it up off my wishlist.

Very quietly enjoyable - relatively simple in terms of exploration, and seems to lack some of the metroidvania depth, but as a fun stress free romp it's good. :P

Fire! Fire! Fiiiiiiiire!

So, how have people fared this sale?

I must admit I went a bit nuts this time, ended up getting:

Firewatch (£6.74)
Sherlock Holmes Devil's Daughter (£10.50)
Transistor (£2.24)
Hitman (£15.90)
Day of the Tentacle Remastered (£2.74)
Darkest Dungeon (£7.59)

Over £45... quite a lot for me considering I'd barely bought anything in the last few sales. Quite a few of the games I'd been keeping an eye on dropped to reasonable levels.

Likewise. I limited myself to £20, spent £18 and then a few days later spent another £20. Got quite a lot for the money though.

Broken Sword: 20th Anniversary Collection - £10.52
Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings - £2.99
Verdict Guilty - 유죄 평결 - £0.39

£13.90 spent so far, but still on the fence about getting some more, just not sure what.

Well, for me i ended up buying far more than i expected or anticipated.

As i seldom (if ever) buy games at launch these days there is always a backlog of games that pique my interest and this year, Steam managed to beat the pricing of my usual games buying sites.

My tally is;

Battlefleet Gothic
Warhammer Total War
Men of War 2
Xcom 2
Dishonoured 2

The Signal From Tolva (a game from the developers of 'Sir, you are being hunted')

I've only bought Virginia so far, not sure if I will buy anything else despite originally thinking I might buy a fair few games. I think the fact that I have already spent £40 this month on Splatoon 2 is making me a bit more wary of spending anything more unless I really, really want something.

Just picked up Firewatch to finish off my spree. Should go well on the new TV over Steam Link.

In addition:
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Starbound
Sunless Sea
Party Hard
Hollow Knight
Abzu

Lots of little titles to tide me over.

It's a beautiful looking game, Firewatch. Played it over the course of a couple of nights last week. Wasn't quite what I was expecting in the end, but it's well worth playing, and will look good on that new telly.

After seeing the Argos deal, tentatively showed it to the wife and said "look what we could get." She told me she thought our current telly is too big (it's like a 42'' Bravia, I think, about 8 years old) and wanted to go smaller next time.

We've compromised on keeping the one we've got

Unlucky, that sounds like your proposal nearly backfired big time.

Who in their right mind would want a TV smaller than 42"!?

You should see my mum's, it's like a postage stamp. Not terribly old (it's a Bravia as well), but just... titchy. Mrs Boots has been eyeing it up for some time.

Everyone has to pick a hill to die on, and feel like this could well be mine...
