Perhaps they just want to sell more of them? Increasing the userbase is important for a new product category.

I'd say that's a perfect price point.

Also I'm way late here but how good is Raw Data?! Shotty is maybe a bit fiddley but the pistol feels amazing! Big grin after that!

How much did this start off as again? In the 700s or something?

I paid £689 altogether for the headset and controllers as both launched.

It's worth noting that this probably isn't the permanent price. I imagine it'll go back up to £500 when the sales ends so get one now if you want one.

Nah. Still a little pricey for me. The only thing I'd even vaguely want it for is Elite. My system will be getting a full refresh this time next year so I might have a look then.

Thats a fantastic trailer ^_^

Has anyone tried the Paranormal Activity game? VR has been lacking anything decent in the horror genre and PA seems to be getting good reviews. I wholeheartedly believe it'll be shit though - and its £30....

Nope, not tried it and don't want to try it. I don't like being scared :)
Although there are mutterings about Alien Isolation being redone for modern VR headsets. As I have the game already, I'll give that a go

Strong rumours that Rift are developing a $200 headset which will act independently from your phone and PC and will be totally wireless. So kind of like a tablet on your face I guess. They say it will be able to carry out moderate gaming, but will obviously not be as powerful as the Rift. It's due to go on sale next year.

It seems like a good half step between the GearVR and the Rift. If it works it might be enough to get the mainstream buying into VR and allow the industry to bridge the gap until cheaper full power headsets are available.

Its pretty accurate that, my girlfirend dinted my Gibson Explorer while madly flailing about with the flail.
