Ok, so Act 1 is finished:

My word this is brilliant. The story really hits a high note at the end of Act 1 and has really left me wanting more. I could not be more excited for Act 2. The story goes from being a quest to break free to something entirely different. I did not expect the end of Act 1 to be like that. The way the two stories converged was truly a "oooh shhhiiitt" moment. Certain things you do make sense once you see both stories and I can't wait to see where this is heading.

This is a very decent game here. I think it lives up to the hype 100%. It's no Monkey Island or Grim Fandango but it is up there. It makes me want more to play more adventure games and I'll probably boot up a couple of classics whilst waiting for Act 2.

I said in my previous post I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't play point and clicks but now i completely would. The writing is fantastic, the animation is pure brilliant and the soundtrack is breathtaking.

Never really been taken by a game like this before, maybe it's because I'm invested in this due to my Kickstarter pledge, maybe I'm just going soft in my old age but my word Tim, you've hit the nail on the head with this one.

Dare I say the old LucasArts magic is back?

What's the eta on Act 2? I imagine I'll probably wait until that is out.

Act 2 has been pinned down for an early 2015 release. Double Fine say the game will last about 8-12 hours, which explains the delay.

Excellent. Will probably play through it all again because I've forgot a lot of the little details. Very much looking forward to it.

PCG review was a bit lukewarm as well. Sounds like it goes out with a whimper rather than a bang.

Just like Double Fine itself then? Hard times at DF, lay offs and a cancelled project. Could be time to close its doors soon.

Ach, they can just stick up another kickstarter and ejits will shower them with money for more mediocre games.

Massive Chalice does look good though.
