You can indeed register your CD key for Diablo 2 on the Blizzard store.

This game's been on my mind lately. Until tonight, I'd not played it for years (I've lost count how many). I decided to go to Blizzard's store and see if you could still purchase it. Turns out you can, so I did.

This may have been a mistake.

It's a good game, for sure, but who was I kidding thinking I had the time or impetus to play an epic RPG these days?

However, the boys and I had a blast playing co-op Golden Axe (and Golden Axe II) over the weekend. I think this will be our go-to action game for the foreseeable future.

Against my better judgement I bought a SNES Classic.

Just been plugging my way through Castlevania IV.
Not sure what put me in the mood but, after watching Bram Stoker's Dracula again along with the Castlevania Netflix series, I apparently needed some more campy vampire slaying action.

I approve of this course of action. Also has some pretty awesome cover art!

Is that the subtitle or the verdict? :P

Both! I can't believe this is from the same people who made the Saints Row games, it's so fucking dull. The voice acting and graphics are great but everything else is just lackluster. The playable characters seem to indicate that this was originally going to be a Overwatch clone or something similar. The combat is just plain shit, no weapon variety (one per character that never changes), poorly explained missions and fucking cut scenes every 2 fucking minutes!

I'll keep at it for a while in case it suddenly has some hidden depth but I'm not hopeful.

I think I bought it based on Prey's recommendation. I agree that it could have been a belter but just felt off some how.

It is indeed dull. I enjoyed it for a bit, but it doesn't have the humour of the Saints Row games and the missions are all the same. It starts to grate pretty quickly.

Rime

Both myself and my 7yo were in tears at the end of this. Fucking hell :(

Really good, though. I hope others took advantage of the Gog sale before it ends to pick this up for free (it had been on my Steam wishlist for a year without dropping from its, imho very high, £30 price point. My reason for saying that is it's quite short, 5-8 hours depending on how determined you are to poke into every corner).

Enchanting gameplay, intriguing story that is slowly revealed and gets progressively darker, nice environmental things that are mostly quite simple but often take a few moments to work your way through. Both my daughters loved watching it if you've got younger kids and look out for games you can play with them.

Recommended.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends

Hearthstone but TES! Not exactly the most mind blowing thing, but I like the setting and needed something low impact.
Don't give a toot about the competitive stuff, but the single player stuff has been a fun challenge. Sank some money in for some extra stories.

Far Cry 5: Hour of Darkness

Rather slight, but not as bad as was expected. I enjoy the core of how the plays enough to have some fun with a mini Ubisoft checklist simulator. Plus the jungle stealth stuff is pretty neat.
Sure, I'll be up for the upcoming zombie and martian themed add-ons.
