Let's be fair, it's a pop up tent with a hole cut in it for a sleeping bag.

I'm sure the installation of another kind of 'hole' is one of the stretch goals.

I've missed out on a lot of stuff but they have ditched the Unity engine for Unreal and it's took the old retro look from it. Not sure how I feel about that and now a little worried this is going to do a Bioshock on me. And left disappointed in that is graphics over the gameplay elements for more mass appeal :?

Atari have turned to crowdfunding.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018- ... rowdfunder

This bit in particular from their pitch is rather dodgy.

We might incur Irregular Use of Proceeds that may include but are not limited to the following over $10,000: Vendor payments and salary made to one's self, a friend or relative; Any expense labeled "Administration Expenses" that is not strictly for administrative purposes; Any expense labeled "Travel and Entertainment"; Any expense that is for the purposes of inter-company debt or back payments.

So they want people to invest with the caveat that Atari are free to spend the money on old debts, family members and travel entertainment?

Corrupt as fuck.

It's not like they really even need to crowdfund.

Good grief. The video is bad enough; "Hey we've made an absolutely staggering amount of money; we really are fucking brilliant, but now we want *your* money to fund the next step in this classic franchise that we omitted the most recent catastrophically bad entry in!" I appreciate Start Engine is not quite the same as Kickstarter; they're not just funding a project, they're selling equity in it, but it's fairly crazy that they need to resort to this.

And that's before you even look at how poor a choice of platform for a tycoon game this is. Are they literally just remaking the stripped-down touchscreen mobile game for a console? I love my Switch, but why stick a genre that only really works well with a mouse and keyboard on it? I've seen videos of Cities Skylines on console; a gamepad is just wholly unsuitable for these things, and the Switch's touchscreen is both not as good as on a mobile phone or tablet, and is only available in handheld mode.

And that's the System Shock Remake canned or well on hold but you know how that % comes back to being released.

Should have stuck to what the backers backed and not swapped engines halfway through in my honest opinion.

Rumours of also courting publishers but after the "failures" of Deus Ex and Prey they weren't interested in a niche title.
