Two things to point out on that one. Clive Sinclair is barely involved. His company is a shareholder and other than that he seems to be a big name for the project. He's listed first under the About Us heading, and is the only one of the three to not appear in the video asking the team about their favourite spectrum games.

More importantly, look under the funding status bar thingy. Flexible Funding. You know how Kickstarter doesn't take any money until the funding period ends and doesn't give anything to unsuccessful projects? Indiegogo makes that optional. Flexible Funding means they're getting any cash pledged, even if it's not enough to make the project happen. If it can work with whatever cash is raised, why the need for a target in the first place? Flexible Funding is a warning sign.

I'm not saying this is a scam, but it's not looking exactly honest.

Also, I recall many spectrum games using more than four keys.

Nice idea but I would want the full old rubber keyboard instead for that price.

One for Subby I reckon...

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/61 ... ts/1121051

Just what the world needs yet another Wonder Boy game. And of course it wouldn't be a Wonder Boy game without some crazy naming rights issue to further convolute the already higgledy-piggledy time line.

Yeah I know the Kickstarter was cancelled but its apparently been picked up by a German publisher and will be out in the summer.

Toejam and Earl Kickstarter hinted at a few weeks back is live...

Looking for 400k.

WTF is up with that dodgy accent?! Why he thought that was a good idea I'll never know. Looks a bit pish. 2D on 3D is not a good look IMO.

I have backed this. I am very excited by the prospect of a TJ and Earl game that is going back to it's original style of gameplay. I agree the accent was a bit weird, I didn't get that. But I quite like the art style, but they could, and maybe should, go down the style of Don't Starve, which would look a bit cleaner.

No regrets. I will love it either way.
