Pretty much. The only real duff title is GTAIV, the expansions were somewhat better. I'd be surprised if there's anyone who hasn't bought them all at some point by now though.

GTAIV was brilliant, had GTA's first and only truly likeable character that you could relate to, a great cast of people that felt a hundred times more real than most other games, all the while making a gorgeous city to run around in. It's got more to say than your average blockbuster game. Fucking love it.

Yeah, aside from the murdering immigrant war vet part anyway. 3 had a silent protagonist, VC you played a complete bellend and SA wasn't too bad for it. Nico went to America to right a wrong and all he wanted to do was settle down and live in peace. At the end of the game you don't own mansions or lord it over gangs, you're in pretty much the same position you were to start with.
