Yes I might take another look at this. I bounced off it a bit first time around, not due to any specific issue, it just wasn't very interesting.

*Cough* I loved Thief *Cough*

They did a better job at that than they did the new DX outing. :|

I can't remember now what the opening levels of Thief were like, and whether they'd be enough to put people off, but by the time it opens out into the massive city hub it becomes quite enjoyable. Worth persevering until then if you didn't make it that far the first time.

The haunted asylum level was nearly as good as the Cradle in Thief 3 for atmosphere and making you unexpectedly wet yourself

I tried to play the Thief remake at least twice and gave up due to lack of interest. If your new to the series its probably a decent game, otherwise it feels like a bit of a let down. Plus Garret looks like a fucking mopy nu-metal teenager, fuck that noise.

Just spent a wee while googling the game as I liked the first but got stumped at one point and never continued (I have a feeling it was a technical issue actually, when the framerate tanked to unplayable)

It's got mixed reviews. Have you played it Prey? Couldn't quite tell from your comment if the 'under the radar' bit is used in a good way.
I have so many games to play at the minute that I need a good reason to buy more :)

No Rusty mate I have not. The very reason I did mention it though is because my son started playing it on his Xbox One not two days ago and he says it's actually really great so far. He's a huge fan of the original outing too.

A question: I've got games I'm thinking of selling/chucking in the charity tin. However, some of these use Steam and I've already redeemed the codes. Is it worth doing that or just throwing it in the bin? Last I want to is to cause someone misery by buying a game then finding they have to pay for it again.
