Maybe I've missed a few updates but I've seen a lot of new things. Is the snow area new? Apparently the world is three times deeper too.

Three times? Blimey, that would explain why it took us so long to dig down to just the lava middle layer earlier on. I figured it was just because we'd selected a large world.

The snow biome was in 1.1, but I believe they've made it significantly larger now and added in special enemies/bosses/items for it. Same with the jungle, they've put a hardmode boss somewhere in the underground jungle.

Out in London on Thurs, tonight is my only likely night.

Will be on Steam as usual, so lets play it from there (DJ, Dave, Wolfeh and any others interested).

Terraria is second in the Steam top sellers list again, and the second most played game today. Its got more players than Hat Fortress!

Had a game with Second Base last night, and he got a rain-hat drop. TF2, thy foul influence corrupts all ;)

RPS Interview with the developer.

He talks about 1.2 being the last big update with a few smaller ones still to come including a final boss and a Halloween themed update. He also talks about his desires for Terraria 2. He wont be going down the crowd-funding route with the sequel and hopes to keep the team small and may just go solo again. I can't believe that he built the first game on his own in four months.

It will be interesting to see what he comes up with and how it compares to Starbound.

I've started work on my Ice Castle and snagged an Ice Blade along with a Grandfather Clock from a chest. I also have a groovy Eskimo Jacket that dropped from a Zombie and I've seen flying fish in a snow storm and a blob with an umbrella!

Gah, I hate it when you spend ages mining for good ore then when you make a weapon/tool you end up making a shit version with -10% damage or something.

Don't seem to remember that happening before 1.2, or maybe I was just always really lucky before.

That happened before. If you go to one of the NPCs you can reroll the stats for any of your weapons in hopes of getting a decent one. I think it's the goblin who does it.

Thanks for the tip. Haven't found the goblin guy in this playthough yet.

It's taking longer to find things with the extra depth.

It's took a couple of days, but I'm starting to see lava. -_-

Jees, you weren't kidding about it being 3x deeper.
