What's On The Box 2018

Postby Nethlyn » Mon Dec 18, 2017 1:36 am

Really this year I'm going to concentrate on films from the guides as everything's on catchup for 30 days if I don't list it so I'm not scraping the barrel trying to find decent telly. Everything's an hour unless it's a film

If you missed Jingle All The Way from CH4 yesterday then it's on Netflix or see it again Christmas Eve.

MONDAY 18TH DECEMBER

21, Sony Movies, 6.35pm

World's Strongest Man CH5 7pm every weeknight Monday to Thursday

Anger Management Sony Movies vs Anchorman Film4, both 9pm Haven't seen either of these will probably go with Anchorman

If you want action not comedy First Blood is on ITV4, 9pm-11.05pm

TV Wise there's just Blue Planet Series 1 repeats, BBC2, 5pm Monday to Weds 20th or iPlayer and Blue Planet II sticks around on iPlayer until January 16th

also The Lego Story, Brick By Brick, CH5, 8pm and A Big Lego Christmas, More4, 9pm

New Family Guy, ITV2 9pm, New American Dad Double 10pm-11pm

and League of Gentlemen's new mini series is BBC2, 10pm, 30min

Other catchup: Peaky Blinders Pick Netflix for s1-3 or iPlayer for s1 to s4

The Omen (original), Quest, 11pm-1.20am

Anger Mangement on Sony Movies again, this time 11.10-1.30am but I'll be watching Source Code so maybe next week

*****Source Code, Film4, 00.25am-2.10am***** Like Phone Booth CH4 tries to shorten the breaks on this film because of the Edge of Tomorrow/Groundhog Day type structure, I found myself enjoying it more every time I watch it.

Cheers MM, Big Hero 6 at 4.10pm BBC1 is the next animation flick I have to catch up with [EDIT] and since it's not on iPlayer, good thing I caught it.

Alan Partridge 25years documentary, BBC2, 9pm, 1hr

Other than that, there's Jaws, ITV4 10.05-00.35am and without looking back at the double guide, that's it, will edit with anything else but there won't be much this side of New Year.

World's Strongest Man returns to CH5, 7pm again

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42484128

Take out 1.6million on ITV and 175K on Sky News and the 5.9million that watched the Queen on the Beeb means you could reverse the top ten and that was nearly the BBC's schedule chopped up into whatever order you liked. Knowing the approximate order every Christmas day is the one advantage the Beeb's got over Netflix, they only shifted Top of The Pops. Mrs Brown's Boys has a solid fanbase that supported this special and will probably be back for the New Year one.

NEW YEAR'S DAY AND CATCHUP

Gone Girl, iPlayer to 29th January

Dances With Wolves, iPlayer to 30th January

McMafia, iPlayer rewind, Spectre from ITV is on Netflix and will be back Saturday 6th approx. 9.50pm

Frankie Boyle's 2017, iPlayer and repeat BBC2, 00.10, 30min (but 45mins on iPlayer) so they did a HIGNFY with it, might as well stream the whole thing and get all the gags
