No interest in anything in 3D tbh, surprised they're bothering, thought that was dead by now.
Terry Pratchett wrote:Humans would do anything to see if it was possible. If you put a large switch in a cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

I think this was done originally for the Chinese market, film was never released over there. They did the same with Titanic and made a shit ton of cash out of it. Personally I'm not bothered about the 3D, but a 4K remaster sounds nice.

I'm hoping the remaster job is like the one that was done for The Terminator... And not like the one they did for Predator when converting it to 3D.

You know, if Snyder can hold back his urges for long stretches of grim, ill-paced filler and focus on making fun "stylish" action... he might be on to something. When Man of Steel and BvS actually had some action, it was a guilty pleasure. It's just everything going on around said action that is just #-o

I mean, so long as it's better than Sucker Punch. :-k

Edit: Did I really just use the word "Action" three sentences in a row? #-o

More substantial addition:

The classic Escape from New York is being remade by Robert Rodriguez and written by the guy who did Luther. That might actually be good or at least be a fairly entertaining mess. Not that it needs a remake :/

Goodness me. A Thor movie that doesn't look like it'll be terrible?
They seem to really be leaning into the Guardians of the Galaxy retro aesthetic now, though. I wonder if that'll be the thing for Marvel going forward?

So Josh Brolin is going to be Cable.

He's also Thanos.

I hope this amuses other comic lovers as much as it does me.

It's like, I can't tell if this will actually be good, or if they're just getting better at making trailers for naff films.

I think the later is very much true, but I still think this might be good in a fun film to watch at home on a Friday evening kind of way.
