In terms of the whole MCU movie saga, the only two I really rate as top super hero movies are Iron Man and Thor. Everything beyond that point has always been a bit dodgy for me. Iron Man 3 was fairly good, as was Winter Soldier; but they just didn't have the same element of fun as the first few movies.
The less said about the Avengers movies the better.
Civil War has raked in an astonishing $291.2 million in the foreign market already and the film has still yet to open in the US market until later tonight. $30 million of that came from China and from the opening day alone. Civil War was made on a production budget of $250 million.
Yep. I know I didn't realise this either. It opened here on April 29th.
After opening in the US yesterday the film brought in another $75 Million which brings the current total worldwide tally to over $366 Million with just a single day of domestic release under its belt. It was expected to bring in at least $200 over the weekend but that looks doubtful now.
Plots terrible, lets get that out of the way first. It takes so long for anything to actually kick off I found myself wondering how much longer I had to sit there for. Ant-Man should never have become part of the larger MCU. Spiderman was terrible. Black Panther was ok, but I feel he should have had his film first to introduce him properly. He felt like he was shoe-horned in for the sake of it.
The fights were pretty good but that's about it for me.
So yeah, weakest MCU film in my opinion. Most disappointed.

I think because I went into this thinking it was going to be good it meant I came away a bit disappointed. It was a pretty good film, but I prefered The Winter Soldier and I can't quite see why people are saying this is the best Marvel film yet.
