If you don't like it your sexist already articles and racist comments about it already. Why pander to these idiots with these reboots when you could you know. Just make a good film with real actors and a script.

And fuck me is the ecto 1 and equipment shown so far far worse than the original stuff.

Well quite the reaction. I've not seen the trailer myself as I wasn't really onboard with a remake to begin with and once the cast was announced I knew I was out. The one thing I will say is that I think people are being a bit hard on Melissa McCarthy, she can be very hit and miss for me, but I've enjoyed a few of the films she has been in and it isn't always just gags around her being fat.

The only thing I've seen her in that I didn't think was terrible was St. Vincent, which wasn't exactly a comedy, and she definitely wasn't playing a comedy role (even though the whole thing was marketed as a comedy). I think she can act, but I really don't find her funny at all.

Whats annoying is that if they had made this as Ghostbusters 3, the all female leads could have actually been an original angle.

Maybe the original Ghostbusters got sucked into a black hole and their daughters/wives are trying to find/avenge them.

But no.

Zero thought got put in to this. It'll have a good opening weekend and then disappear.

I think I agree. I was more excited when the trailer gave the false impression it was a soft-reboot sequel. I would've been okay with that.

So if the film is a flop he can claim everyone was just being racist/sexist?

To be fair, its not the actors fault when they have this to work with.

I had the plot spoiled to me by a reddit thread and I'm kinda glad it did because it sounds wank. It might well be bollocks but ehhhhh.

The "someones building a ghost machine" in the trailer was enough.

My brain's already trying to flush it out but what I can remember:
Spoiler: show
The main points for me:
• They get discredited after that library ghost is sick on them. The video of it is "all over YOUTUBE AND REDDIT" AND IT'S SO CURRENT. Why actual evidence of ghosts gets them kicked out, I dunno. Kinda skimmed that bit.
• They can't afford THE fire station so they work in a Chinese restaurant. They get it at the end though. Great.
• Their first "bust" is at the concert seen in the 2nd trailer.
• Ernie Hudson has a cameo as the uncle of the STREETWISE ghostbuster and gives them what becomes the Ecto-1.
• Dan Aykroyd appears as a cab driver making forced references to ghostbusters
• Bill Murray appears as a talkshow host (I think, can't remember) making forced references to ghostbusters.
• I might be getting this all confused but Thor (christopher something or other) gets possessed by the bad ghost but he can control ghosts or something. He does a Rick Moranis red-eye growl at one point. It sounds fucking daft.
• Zuul is mentioned right at the end.

EDIT: shite, if you just saw that, YOU DIDNAE.

It might be bollocks though. I hope it is bollocks.
