I'm going to have to have stern words with the Elder Boots, I think.

Episodes 1 and 2 on Netflix now, then new ones every Tuesday from what I gather.

Likewise, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It hasn't strayed too far from Breaking Bad, but that isn't a criticism. It's nicely shot, and Bob Odenkirk is immediately likeable.

Aye that was good, better than I was hoping. Saul looks like he's going to make for a really deep character.

I wonder if they kicked around the idea of doing an origin of Mike or Gus at first.

Well they covered a lot of the origin of Gus didn't they?

and I'm thinking this will show a lot of Mike's story as well.

Tgat was fine I suppose. It wasn't good, it was just fine. It felt like it was made in the template of breaking bad without the wit or nuance. The Mike bit for example was painful, the sk8rs were just plain badly written... Urgh. The whole thing reeks of "you liked how breaking bad was quirky, here's quirky zany Saul!! Look at him do stupid things!! He's such a character!!!!"

Actually it's not fine, it's kind of pish. It could get better but that was a piss poor, disjointed mess of a start.
